Our Early Childhood Music Classes are using the Learning Groove Songs and Stories, a research-based early childhood program specifically designed for children ages birth to 4, a program where they get to participate with their parent(s) or a guardian. The Learning Groove is a state-of-the-art early childhood curriculum created by Eric Litwin- the author of the first four Pete the Cat books - along with Michael Levine, the music producer of those cool soundtracks accompanying Pete the Cat's adventures. The New Old School of Music teachers were trained by The Learning Groove company and the school has the license to use this curriculum.

In this program, your growing musician will sing, dance, listen to and play real instruments, shake eggs, beat drums, call & respond, clap, tap, laugh, skip, jump, pretend, learn, sing songs in other languages and listen to a Pete the Cat story at the end of the class. This program is geared towards the development of rhythm, pitch & melody, language skills, motor coordination, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and preschool readiness. Research has shown that children who receive early music instruction have increased overall academic achievement. But more importantly, it is just good old-fashioned FUN!

The Early Childhood Music Classes are offered in sessions of 4, 6, or 10 in-person classes which are scheduled once a week for 45 minutes. Each session will introduce different curriculum material.
